  • How do I choose the left channel only in audio?

Posted by Mike Schmitt on February 28, 2007 at 12:37 am

    Hi there:

Just shot a short using my HVX 200, I had a shotgun mic piped through the left and right channel. The left channel I kept the level low, the right side I kept it higher.

now that I’m editing the right side is totally blown out and I can’t figure out how to select the left channel only.

    How do I do this?

    Thanks

Before editing, in your project panel select the clip(s), thengo to Clip > Audio Options > Break out to Mono.

Pick the side you want and drag it below the timeline to create a new mono track.

Audio effect — fill left ( or is it fill right? ) dyslexic today. It will sound right ( no pun intended ) when you chose the right ( still no pun intended )effect.
