  • How do I apply a material to the normal facing side and another material to the opposite side?

I have rendered an image of a logo but I need only one face of the surrounding object to render (A) and the opposite (B) to be transparent, how do I do that?

I’ve used Shadow Catcher to get the transparency but I need to apply Shadow catcher to side B so that it renders as transparent also?

Thanks for your help in advance.

There is a field labeled “Side” in the Texture tag. This defaults to Both. If you set it to Front then the material will only render on the side that the normal is pointing from, if you set it to Back it will only render on the side the normal is pointing away from.
