  • How do deform cubes/objects around a sphere?

I would like to have some cubes clones (like a city) around a sphere. As if there is a city on a globe. I can use mograph to clone the cubes, thats no problem, but how do I ‘bend’ them around a sphere as if they al stand on the surface of the globe. The bend or wrap deformer do not give the desired results. Anybody have an idea. Somehow I think the solution must be very simple.

Use Object mode on the cloner object and point it to a sphere. You can disable or enable the sphere in the render as you like, but it does need to be enabled (green check). Then you can apply the random effector as normal to make your city.
