How do add effects like these?
Hello,
I wanted to edit my video and make something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGhejo3INlM
The first 10 secs should give you a brief idea of what I want.
Is there a specific way to do this or is there a plugin that does that?
Any help will be appreciated.

This is done with animated square masks in AE over a black background.

After Effects CS5 has a boxes transition in PAL and NTSC that, whilst not quite the same, enables a similar effect.
