How did they do this?
Hey guys,
I’ve been using this forum for a VERY long time, but finally had a question and decided to join.Anyway, I’m wondering how this effect in this stock video is achieved.

Is there an easy way to mimic this effect? I basically want to do the same thing, just with images instead of videos.
Any help/tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You can do it in different ways:
Card Dance is one stock plugin that can achieve that look
Plane Space from Red Giant is a plugin designed specifically for this kind of animations where multiple layers are manipulated at once.
There may be some scripts that can help- aescripts.com
Or, if you do not have a lot of layers, you can always just animate in AE 3d space.
