How did Apple make this 4/5 split screen?

That’s switched live during the event through a production switcher. Live camera is feeding the speaker walking around and the rest of the screen is filled with the graphic. The camera operator keeps the speaker centered and that image is cropped and put into the proper location by the technical director.

Super easy to do live and can also be pretty easily created in graphics.

Sure that’s super simple. You can either crop and place the video or use a Matte to place the video into.

Then lay the graphics alongside however you see fit.

It’s just a multi-layered screen. It’s easy to do in both PPro and AE.

Just make sure your camera operator is smooth and has a good fluid head tripod to follow the action!

Have done similar live production using a TriCaster switcher, with presenter headshot inset next to his PowerPoint graphic, worked out great.

Yes Walter,
The problem I have is the camera operator did a poor job of keeping him centered in the video because the guy walking made sudden moves. Only when he is standing still or walking slowly does this work for me. So certain times I can do it as long as the camera keeps him centered. I was
thinking there might be a way to have the video, which would be under the graphic layer, somehow motion tracked to keep the speaker centered. Too much work and time even if I could do it.
