How can you decide the order Vector Paint strokes animate on?
Hi there
Say Ive written a name using vector paint…when i chose animate strokes, it animates them all on at the same time….how can you decide when they animate on, or is this not possible?

Look for Shift-Paint in the manual.
There are different modes for recording paintstrokes painted while pressing the shift key. It is selectable through the VP context menu and the Comp view tool twirl thing.Or, you can change stroke start time using (keyboard shortcuts) copy-paste (not sure about cut). Unfortunately it is no longer possible (CS2, CS3) to use the VP stroke inpoint and outpoint shortcuts for some reason (“[” and “]”).

An alternative method, would be to write out the name using the pen tool to create masks on a layer. Then use the “Stroke” effect and click the option to do all masks sequentially.
