how can one make an effect on photoshop like this?

this is a poster for a movie called maximum risk.
and i really like this poster , i think its pretty well-done.
and i want to know how one can make an effect like that, vandammes eye translucently visible through natasha henstridges body.thnx yaztj

It really is not a hard effect to achieve. First step would be to mask out Natasha’s Body using a layer mask and place it on layer above Vandamm. Then I would create a duplicate of her layer. Next I would select to lower duplicate layer and set it’s fill to 0% adding a drop shadow layer style to the left of her. Next select to top duplicate layer of her and start brushing back some white into the layer mask reviling Vandammes Eye. Convert it to some kind of Duotone effect and your done!
