    Hello Everybody,

I have add drop shadow and bevel effect to a Text layer on a trans. background. Thne i save it as .gif format using Save for Web.

But when i put that file on a dark gray background in dreamweaver it shows white area around it ? how to remove that. Text is not at all looking like i have added a drop shadow it is looking very pool. I have also select all the white colors in the optimize windows and made them transparent but still the result is same..

    Any help would be appreciated

When you are in the save for web dialog box, be sure to set the matte color to something close to the dark background of your web site. Then Photoshop will blend the shadow to that color, instead of blending it to white which is the default.
