How can I re-create this date/time effect?
I am brand new to After Effects. How can I re-create the date/time effect in this video? The first instance of it comes in between about 20-26 seconds, and again at about 1:56-2:00.

I can easily re-create the wipe, but what really interests me is how the digit that is undergoing the wipe changes into another digit as it is being wiped. It really catches the eye.
Does anyone know how I could re-create this?

it looks pretty similar to the text animation preset ‘decoder fade in’.
you can find the text presets in the effects & presets palette (window>effects & presets), twirl down animation presets>presets>text. decoder fade in is in ‘animate in’.
