    running into a headscratcher here.

there is an .swf file that i am trying to import into AE7..and once its imported, it only reads 1 frame.
the file setting are correct..matching frames rates and all, and still it just reads 1 frame.

i’ve exported both from flash8 as swf and quicktime and same issues arise. any idea what i might be doing wrong?
or is there an article that describes proper workflow regarding flash files?

I never imported a SWF file into After Effects before, but, when you import your .SWF file, in the Import Window, is there a check box, at the bottom, where it is written “Import SWF Sequence”? If yes, might want to check that. If there’s any; hope someone will give you a better answer.

AE will only import the frames of the SWF. If the animation is script-driven, you’re out of luck.

Xport the swf from quicktime pro as a quicktime movie, pick your codec, and then import to afx, should work for you.
