    this is a quick one, drives me crazy thou:

    How can I move a layer on the timeline without changing the layers keframe-positions?

    If your layer has handles – that is, bits and that beginning or end that don’t show up in your scene, because you have trimmed the in or out point of the layer, then you can do a slip edit. Position the selection tool over the ghosted section of the layer by the trim point, and it will become the slip tool. Then you can click and drag to move the move the footage content of the layer under the playhead forward or back, without moving the layer itself.

    That should have read ‘bits at the beginning or end…’
