How can i make these amazing lights bleeding into 3d layers please?
hi there,
i’m working on a project based on the conversion of handdrawn comics into 3d layers and animation.
now i have seen this amazing video by daniel kanemoto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phLVlvMKVi8 and i’m particularly impressed by his use of light and how it bleeds into the 3d layers. i’ve played around a lot now using normal lights, lux, etc. but can’t get there at all.
any suggestions?

Hi mate,
Always loved that Walking Dead Video… After Effects at it’s best.
I would look at using Light Wrapping which is generally used to comp in green screen elements but should work for this as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR7V-4ZlW0EAlso try using the Light Rays effects probably as an adjustment layer over the top of all of the layers you would like to cast light on.
