  • How can I loop text/still image in AE ?

I’m making a commercial and I want some subtle text (a PSD file) to scroll across the top in a loop. It’s on top of a still image that I would like to move or loop in the opposite direction. I’ve seen this demonstrated at a recent conference I attended but I
lost the notes for this effect. I am somewhat familar with expressions and I vaguely remember this being part of the effect. I have about 3 days to complete this project so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Looping

Basically you set two keyframes for your animation, then add this loop expression to the keyframed property:

For details on looping in AE see Dan Ebberts “Animating A Walk Cycle” (see “Intro” comp for looping variations), where he goes covers the loop variations, including setting a keyframe 1 back from the last one, then looping from there, so you don’t get that little stutter from the last frame in the animation repeating itself.
But that shouldn’t be a problem with you text loop.

Do the same procedure with your moving still. Have fun.
