How can I get that “joggy look” in Premiere Pro CS4
So I’m watching some footage on the program monitor (auto setting) and I noticed a few times it would playback with an interesting stuttering or joggy look. Now I kind of want to apply that look to all the footage (it looks a lot less “home video” that way). I know this is why many prefer to shoot at 24fps, but the program monitor stutter looked a bit more dramatic. My footage is 29.97. Would changing the project framerate achieve this? My other idea is to speed up the footage, render it, re-import it and stretch it back out… any thoughts? Chris.

Video Effects > Time > Posterize Time
This will give the footage the “24 frame” look, but will likely require rendering with CS4. With CS5.5 and the Quadro 4000 card, it is realtime on HD footage for me.
I like to apply this effect on the dance footage from wedding receptions, giving it an edgy look different than the standard interlaced video “reality show” look.
