    Hi,

I am trying to break up a text object, could be Extrude Nurbs or Mograph Text into symmetrical cubes. How can I do it ???

Is there a way to apply forces like Attractor, Turbulence, Wind etc, to Mograph particles ?

    Thanks !

There’s no easy way to break up a text object into symmetrical cubes. You’d have to make it editable, use the knife tool to cut it up, disconnect the faces, bridge the holes…. Very labor intensive.

OTOH, you could clone a whole bunch of cubes onto a text object.

As far as applying particle forces, you just have to give your cloner a mograph>rigid body tag. The tag has a forces tab. Where you can exclude, include, etc., particle effects.

    Hey Adam,

Thanks again for helping out ! I guess, I have to manually build the text using cubes and break it down. Also I am still having problems with the look of Ambient Occlusion. When I apply the AO on the surface of an object in Maya or Softimage, the texture and the shadow looks so nice, in just the default look. But I can never seem to get that soft nice look in Cinema 4D, I have applied it as a texture and also from the ender pass… is it because I am using Mental Ray in Softimage ?

    Thanks

    Raj
