Activity Forums Adobe After Effects how can I do this ?

    Well, yeah, I think its possible with AE but I’m not professional enough to tell you how.

    What I would say is, that I don’t think this would be great to do with particular but with the lightning effects AE has (or try the ones from the Gen-Arts Sapphire Plugins) in combo with a write-on effect or masking to get the lightning into the position and movement you want.

    Perhaps you should try these effects first and play a bit with them. Once you know all the Effects and Actions AE can do, you sure can think up some ways to achieve this.

    i’ve done something like this with trapcode’s stroke.

    I am trying to do it with trapcode particular and the results are not to bad. I could mix this with 3d stroke to get it better..
    I couldn’t achieve the same effects with lightning bolt, but it’s an interesting look that could help me in my purpose.

    The base of the effect could be replicated easily with 3D stroke. however i don’t think they have used this as they have a fractal type effect coming off the stroke at certain times.

    i’d steer clear of lightning; it isn’t a good look and definately not what they used here.

    For the purposes of; 3D stroke is the winner.
