how can I connect mi external camera to firewireport? I have this port already in use…
Hi, Im new on wirecast4, and starting to do some tests.
I have a macbookpro with its webcam FaceTime, and a canon t3i to switch from.
I read that I have to connect the external camera to a firewire port, but I’m already using it for an external hard drive, and I need it connected all the time.is there some cable, adaptor or something else that allows me to have this 2 things connected?
OR JUST HAVE TO CONNECT VIA USB and thats all?

It may depend on what MacBookPro you have.
17″ has Express port which allows you to add Firewire to Express port adaptor.
Thunderbolt Macs can use Blackmagic Intensity Extreme for HDMI input.
If your external hard drive has a second firewire port you can try that but it might impact the drive performance.
