  • How and when should I clear out Resolve CacheClip files?

I’m running Davinci Resolve 9.0.2 on Mac. It created a folder on my media drive called CacheClip
that’s now got 90GB of .dpx files in it.
Are they just render files that Resolve will recreate when necessary? Can I simply delete those files through Finder at any time? Or is there prescribed way to delete them from inside Resolve?
I’ve read the entire manual and it doesn’t describe how to clean it out.
    All the manual says is:
“Cache files stored at: All render cache files that you create are saved in the directory path specified by this field. This path defaults to a hidden “CacheClip” directory that’s created at the location of the first Media Storage Volume you specify in the DaVinci Resolve Preferences window.”

Any more info would be appreciated. Thanks!

That’s strange, because, I believe, Resolve should clean up all those cache files automatically. That’s why manual doesn’t say anything about clearing them up. Nevertheless, you can delete them.
