  • How accurate is watching in Log and Transfer for evaluating my footage?

I’m using Log and Transfer for watching dailies, wathcing my footage on it each night to evaluate color and quality.

is that a good idea? The advantage is I can do it instantaneously with needing to Log and Transfer. The downside is if I am basing image quality on something that doesnt give good image quality….welll….that’s dumb.

    Thoughts?

If you are only using the Log and Transfer window to evaluate your footage the accuracy of sound and color is wholly based on how you have your computer screen / computer speakers set up.

If you have a proper reference monitor connected to your system, then it will be very accurate.
