About every other month or so a poster gets hot under the collar and puts up a post that denigrates the words of someone else who posted previously. I guess it happens because most of us are passionate about our craft and art (and business too.) However, insulting others just doesn’t cut it on this forum. The word of every day is: respect. That does not mean one cannot disagree. None of us pretend to have all the answers or even the best answer to any problem. We offer what has worked for us, and most of us who post frequently have lots and lots of experience. Let me repeat something: we don’t claim to have a final word on anything. But we do speak with some experience, and donate our time generously. Our words are indeed a community service.

So if you are tempted to fly in with rage frothing out of your words, just step away from the computer. You are welcome back any time you rediscover your calm, and your respect. Disagree all you want. Just do it nicely.

Otherwise, the owners will zap you out. That is the bottom line, and I wholeheartedly support it.
