  • Hot signal to monitor???

After doing some recabling, my componenet out from my Extreme card directly into my broadcast monitor is displaying a hot signal similar to what you might expect to see out of a VCR when the 75ohm terminator is in the wrong position. Problem is, the monitor has no 75ohm terminator switch. I have tried everything I can think of, even reinstalling BM dirvers etc, but I’m still getting this hot signal, only on the broadcast monitor BTW, not the FCP viewers. Any ideas???

    TIA,

    I have many suggestions –
    1) try a different monitor
    2) rent a waveform monitor to observe the level coming out of the Blackmagic card.
    3) rent a professional monitor (that has 75 ohm termination

It is very very unlikely that the Blackmagic card has a problem – but you never know. That is what test equipment is for.
