    A friend just turned us onto a new video stabilization program that is magnificent, fast and inexpensive.

    It’s called IStabilize and it’s a small German company. They have samples on their website.

    We bought a copy and it’s amazing. No tracking points to enter, it does it automatically, the renders are fast, then you just import the QT movie back into FCP and lay it on the timeline.

    We’re using it with the DVCPROHD codec, but they have a variety of options including uncompressed 8 and 10 bit, plus HDV.

    Thanks for the post!! Have played around with the demo and it really is amazing what this little prog can do and the price is definitely right. This will save a few shots from my inexperienced shooters (but I’ll be damned if I’ll let them know that…what the heck did they make tripods for in the first place :*)
