I started this morning my G5, connected internet and open Safari. One minute after small vertical green lines have started to spread, first from the center of my Apple 20″ Cinema Display, then all the screen of my second monitor.
The computer works fine, although I have to set the view as icons, otherwise I can not see what is behind the green lines.
I have a third monitor connected via a BM cad and the image is perfect so I guess is a problem of my old ATI 9800Pro.
Have anybody experienced something like that?
Two weeks ago I ordered an ATIx800 xt ME for my G5. But searching today about my problem, I found a very long people that is having problems after installing the new model.

This definitely sounds like a video card problem to me. I’ve seen things like this before and it’s always the video card in my experience. It’s time to get a new one.

Hope is just the video card. Although the replacement, that must be already shipped, its scares me more.
