horizontal lines problem in FCP 6
I’m experiencing these glitchy horizontal lines when playing project in canvas. Whether i’m working with DV or still images for a slideshow this horizontal digital noise pops in randomly and i have no idea how to get rid of it. I’m viewing canvas at 100% on Apple 30″ display. My playback quality is set on dynamic.
Also i’m working with a quad processor and 8 gigs of RAM. Alot of money spent on system and i never had this problem working with my iMac G5 and FCP 4.
Any ideas?

If the Canvas zoom is set to 100% then you’ll see both fields. Change the zoom amount to something else and the lines should go away.

For Avid editors learning FCP -
I’m having the same problem with the same system. The suggestion doesn’t change it for me. I’m looking at my show at 33%, and I still get these random horizontal lines.
