Horizontal bars sliding transition effects
Hi,
Trying to re create a transition effect used in the Adidas ad below.

The effect happens at 00:02 and also at 00:55. Face transitioning.
I tried making this effect as a black and white transition in a pre comp and then applying it back to the face with horizontal scaling effects. Not getting it right, though.

i would try creating (or finding) a grey scale horizontal line or bar-like texture and use that as the displacement map layer for the displacement map effect on the layer/footage to be distorted. then animate the max horizontal displacement value (set vertical displacement to 0)
