Hoping to reduce jittery text rendered from AE
Hey guys
I’m working on quite a simple video with lots of vertical lines moving horizontally across the screen revealing text.
I’m finding that I’m getting quite a bit of jitter/flicker, especially on the text when I render the footage.
I’m rendering to a lossless codec – Apple ProRes 422 HQ
The frame rate is 25 fps.
I don’t want to add any motion blur as it’s not in line with the brand but I’d like the lines and text to be as smooth as possible.
I did notice that when I increase the frame rate, the flicker seems to reduce, but am I able to upload a video with a frame rate of 100fps to Vimeo?

It’s too troublesome to take a look at your video – I suggest uploading it to the COW and then provide the link in your posts.
To remove the jitters, try lowering the opacity and if that doesn’t work, look at trying different speeds for your movement.

Rather than adapting to multiples of frame rate, as animated motion is sometimes an arbitrary numerical value, I’ll almost always use some type of motion blur, but it depends on the project. I have done it both ways though…
