OK, i can’t get the “Edit To Tape” or the “Print To Video” to work via firewire with a panny AJ-SD93???

    am i “Homer Simpson-ing” something?

i’ve tried every setup, refresh, pulling all other FW devices and it just won’t work! i tried a different fw cable, even a different outlet. i have machine control, i have pre-roll… then i have nothing. i don’t even need frame accurate… yet print to video is slaying me too. other machines work in this setup, a sony hdv deck works flawlessly.

    stressed in seattle,

The SD93 does not support assemble and insert editing due to no flying erase heads. Do you have a beta deck or any other deck that can generate timecode?

    jeremy-

    hey again, thank you…

yeah, i think i’ll see if i can slave it to the 1800. doesn’t that require the component card? we only have the FW and composite video out.

If your SD93 has tc in, then run the tc out from your 1800 to the tc in to the sd93 and flip the switch in the front for tc external. I’m not sure if that requires the component card for the SD93 or not.
