    sheesh, I’m just playing around with my new dvx100ap…yowza, lots to learn. I just finished watching the dvx dvd that came with the dvx book (by barry green) and, at times, it’s actually comical to listen to all the various different settings and the subtle differences, etc.

    just wondering if there’s any tips any regular users have as far as “typical” settings or a combination of settings that you find yourselves using more often than others.

    also, I was kind of surprised to have to search fro the 24p advanced setting all the way at the bottom of the scene file menu. figured there’d be a single 24P button or something simliar to the “frame mode” button on other cameras.

    any insights or comments would be good to hear. I’m glad there’s this forum. :-}

    The scene file dial on the back of the camera would be that “button or something similar” F6 is 24pa and F5 is 24a by default.

    ah yes, the scene file dial is pretty handy indeed. i guess they improved upon the one button approach. i’m just wondering the approach most people they take when they first turn on the camera….

    (and yes, um, i did read the manual) :=/}
