Hologram Stickers looks
Long time lurker of Cow , first time poster.
Searched through the site and couldn’t find any tuts regarding hologram stickers, so figured i’d try and ask.Been doing a project of creating a 3d product box for a client.
Then I figured I would make the hologram sticker look (color spectrum look?) whatever it’s suppose to be called.But then comes the problem of I don’t even have any idea of how to start off (other than making 10000s of layers and keyframing colors as the camera moves).
Any ideas on how to get that effect?Thank you very very much.

I would shoot a real hologram sticker using similar lighting conditions like in the AE project and use that as a reference.
Holograms reveal depth as you move around them, so it may just be a matter of creating a 3d (or 2.5d) comp that contains the image in the hologram and shoot that with a a camera moving from one side to the other (in AE) then use that as the base for the sticker, add a light sweep and some chroma distortion.

Keyframing a rotation on Colorama as the camera moves might be a good start.
