Nice Hockey Vids. I want to do something similar for little league baseball games so the clock won’t be a problem for me. I’m just curious as to how you did your score overlay. Did you import the entire game into an After Effects comp and then manually change the score as goals were scored, or did you create a comp with just the score without importing the video into AE? I hope that makes sense.

I too would love to see the updated scripts for volleyball scoring. Again, no timer, just a way to quickly update scores (one every ~10-15 sec). All my game edits are in PP with AE used only for the addition of the scores (including game counts).

Hey Nick, I know it has been several months but I hope you can give me a boost. I am looking to do something exactly like your hockey score/clock setup but with a soccer game. The nice side to that is I don’t need the clock to stop and start frequently like hockey.

Did you take a model from a professional broadcast and pull it into photoshop to create a template, and then add your source text for the clock? Or did you build the whole thing yourself?

As a new comer to After Effects and Photoshop I have been teaching myself new techniques and tools on the fly as people have been throwing ideas around. I am not looking for you to tell me a step by step answer on how to achieve this, but if you could point me in the right direction that would be really tremendous.

Hi Patrick – I’m currently in the middle of a project that needs a soccer scoreboard.

My current “trick” was to download a timer app to my ipad, let it run up and record it while it was doing so. Then I would just lay that video clip into the scorebug that I built.

Just hit a setback though – the clock hits 60 minutes and turns to hours when I need a clock that will record up to 90 minutes and not show 1:30. Ugh.

Any thoughts or ideas you could share from your experience? Thanks!
