HMC 150 Pulldown
I am log and transferring HMC 150 footage in FCP with both advanced pulldown on and off. There doesn’t seem to be a difference in the footage after import. Is it better to have pulldown on or off or does it make a difference. I have had sync problems in the past with pulldown on when importing P2 footage.

There is no difference because there is no pulldown. The HMC150 shoots only to tapeless media so it does not record pulldowns.

Is 30p over 60i or 60p considered a pulldown?
In 24p, it records natively. However, other some consumer camcorders like the HV20 and it is believed the upcoming GH-1 record 24p over 60i. There are some chroma related saw tooth artifacts every fourth frame in that format.

30p and 60i have no pulldown because they fit into 29.97 frame for frame- hence no pulldown. Other cameras shot 24p with pulldown either because they’re recording to tape or stuck with an HDV-based format that doesn’t support native 24p. The HMC150 shoots AVCHD to SDHC memory card, both of which support native 24p with no pulldown needed.
