hmc 150 for final Cut Pro
Posted by Pedro De la torre on December 30, 2008 at 12:00 amHi, i got a canon xha1… but im considering to change it for a panasonic’s hmc150 (tapeless). but some reviews says that it’s floppy or slow when you are editing on FCP. Does anyone have this issue, or is just a gossip?
thanks!Peet.

December 31, 2008 at 1:30 amI think you can google for specifics on each of those topics. I happen to think the HMC150 is a solid choice if you’re looking to get into the prosumer arena for HD aquisition and looking to do so on a modest budget. I’ve said elsewhere- is it the last camera you’ll ever need? Nope- but that camera has not arrived yet. Is it incredible value for what you get and a truly efficient, cost-effective worflow- yep.

these are not finals, but is just for some quick view for the customer.what im concerning here, is getting two of these hmc150, beacuse i got a lot of production for 2 cameras… but the thing here is: it is easy to get the footage from de SD card? is like a drag and drop? these is my only concern… i know is a good (modest) equipment for HD, but in my business, i think is great!
im in a mac pro. intel based. 2 quads. 4 gigs.
what do you recommend me?
what do you think? -

December 31, 2008 at 2:42 amTotally- it is the easiest to work with of any of the solid state recording cameras. Easier to work with than P2 or SxS- and cheaper. You could easily build a good business with two of them, and I don’t even get a kickback for the sale. 🙂
