I’m trying to provide a FCP editor files from my HMC-150(AVCHD), and his system isn’t able to recognize them. I’ve also tried transcoding to P2 format MXF files, but no go. I’m almost convinced it’s a version problem. His current versions are…

    FCP is version 6.0.4
    OS is 10.4.11

IS an upgrade going to be required before he will be able to edit with my footage?

    Definitely need to upgrade.

Did you make a complete copy of your SD card? He will need the complete card structure in order to log and transfer.

Thanks…that’s what I figured. I archive the cards with Panasonic’s AVCCAM Viewer utility, which I believe maintains the cards file structure.

I hear Clipwrap is useful for this

OK…I’m reading now that 6.04 should be able to see AVCHD files. Trying now to find out which folder from my archived camera files should be opened in Log and Transfer.
