    higlighted circle with border?

    Hi All

    I am using a paint effect to darker the background of an image and using erase to have a circle that looks highlighted.
    I want to put a border around the highlighted circle. Sounds straighforward but couldn’t find a border parameter in the effect editor? tried copying the paint effect and using outline instead of erase…looked terrible? ended up using marquee to make a border using the ‘o’ key on the keyboard.

    Does anyone have any better suggestions? it seemed harder that i think it should be.

    I found it.

    Layed the same shot down twice. Applied paint effect – darken- on one video track. Applied circle wipe with border on the other video track.

    I would like to place a circle round a character when moving

    Then omit all the external scenery and follow the character’s movement so we only see the character

    using avid med comp: v3.5.1 mac os x 10.6.5

    Can anyone offer any advice please
