highpoint RR 4522 mac pro does’t boot, controller needs firmare update
Hello, I just bought a RR4522. Unfortunately my mac pro 5,1 is not booting when I install the card in it + beep sounds, i have the impression that the beep comes from the RR4522 itself. I read in the user manual that I have to do a firmware upgrade in case the system does not boot.
Two ways: using the webgui (impossible in my opinion if my mac does not boot) or flashing via DOS (as far as I know I need a PC for that?)
So I installed it in a dell 7010 with a 16x pcie slot, but here I have the same problem when I try to boot the pc, it hangs at the dell logo…
