Hello, I’m trying to highlight text momentarily as it is revealed. For example.. I have my title, and i’m revealing it from left to right by a mask, but the second a letter first appears on screen, i’d like to have it highlighted, or a glow, or some effect.

If someone could help me out I’d greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

Duplicate the text layer. Then duplicate the MASK inside this new layer. Set Mask2 to SUBTRACT and move the mask physically a few pixels to the left. Be sure to change each keyframe.

This should give you a thin line of the text as it is being revealed (Turn off the other text layer to see the line).

Apply a glow or edge rays and you’re done. Should look something like this…
