I am doing some football recruiting DVD’s for players and was wondering if there was a way to somehow highlight-flash-place an arrow-or something to that player right before the play begins-so it’s obvious who to watch during that play.I’ve seen football software that does this. Just curious. Thanks. Mark

Place an empty text event over top of the video at the appropriate place.
Open up Character Map (in XP, it’s Start – Programs – Accessories System Tools – Character Map), select the Wingdings font, choose the symbol you want, copy it and paste it into your text event in Vegas.
Odds are that you’ll need to make it a lot larger but this is easy to do.
Use the Placement tab to position it or exit out and use the Pan/Crop tool to do the same thing.

    Another way

Two tracks, same footage in both, add cockie cutter to the one at the top, and add blur to the one under. Adjust them to get a smooth look.
