Highlighs missing
Howdy all. I’ve had a very strange thing going on that I can’t seem to figure out.
I’ve authored a DVD using a custom background for a menu, but template buttons. I took the menu into PS and customized the buttons.
When I check the disk the highlights function normally and look great. I burn a test disk and they work fine on my computer (MacbookPro) but when in a set top DVD player the highlights are just not there. Navigation still works but no indication where the cursor is.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I’ve tried creating an entirely new project and still have the same problem.
Maybe this is a question only Adobe can answer.

Hi John ,
Are you using leopard OS on Mac , and menu used are 16:9 ?.
There was a issue specific to leopard in CS3:
When Encore project is created on Leopard, Button highlights do not show on 16:9 menu buttons when played on set top box.This issue was Mac leopard specific in CS3, for 16:9 menus highlights were not visible in 4:3 monitor, they work fine on 16:9 monitor.
The disc does show problem when playing on 4×3 monitor. Has no problem to play on HD monitor or software players. The problem was the sub picture weren’t generated for letter box case.
This issue is fixed for CS4.
You can try on 16:9 monitor. Please respond if your issue is resolved.
