Hi everyone, I am new in here.
I got a avi file with 300 fps and i need to retouch that to remove some scratches and unwanted lines. So i imported into After effects but i cant make a comp with 300 fps. Maximum i got is 99. I rendered that and output is so damaged. So pls help me to render this in correct frame rate. If After effects cant do this, pls tell me the software i can use.

Maybe the video was shooted at 300 fps, but the playback usually is 30fps (or 24, or 60i). Check the actual frame rate of your avi clip.

Try taking your video file, click and drag it into the “new comp” icon and a new composition will be created using the actual parameters of your footage. You should be able to work with that. Anyway, this is just my guess.

Hi, Now i decided to use 60fps. But when i changed frame rate in
interpretation window, the result is still choppy. The smooth flow in original footage is gone in rendered footage. Any idea anyone??? If u have the step by step procedure pls tell me…

Don’t guess your frame rate, let AE do it for you.

    -Create a new, clean project.

    -Import your footage.

-Click and drag your avi file from your project window to the new comp icon (down at the project window, it looks like a film strip).

-A new comp will be opened with your footage inside.

I hope this solve your problem.
