    Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to zoom into high resoulution images in Avid without losing quality. When importing images, they resize and if I want to zoom into just the head lets say of a larger portrait I get a blurry pic. Should I just do this in After Effects?

You can use the Avid Pan and Zoom effect. I think it’s under Image in your effects palette. Read the help files/manual on how to use it.

For best results, though, I agree with Steve–buy Moving Picture. It’s easy to use, renders fast, and the results are great.

You can use After Effects, but for something this simple I would prefer to do it all in the editing system. Saves the exporting, importing, etc… Plus, when/if you need to make changes it’s easier.

    Michael.

short answer is yes, ust use After Effets.
I have found very little time saving value with plugins by the tme ya weigh in rendering and limitations. I’m just us to keeping AE open. Not much has changed here since ’95.
