    Hey everyone,

So I have this text that was made in Element 3D

And it looks decent as is, but I really want to learn how to add some high end gloss movement to its edges and face.

Kind of along the lines of the Nissan logo animations

I know there are probably many ways to achieve such looks, but what are your go-to ways of getting there? (Without succumbing to AE’s Light Sweep effect haha)

    Much thanks.

Imagine your Element scene is contained within a giant sphere; this sphere is called the environment and it can have an image mapped onto it which the objects in the scene can react to. Element includes a set of these so-called environment maps which allow you to fake some cool lighting looks.

You can rotate the environment to get the look you’re going for (twirl down “Element > Render Settings > Environment” and keyframe the Rotate “Environment” property.)
