High CPU usage with no project open.
After Effects causes a CPU usage of 25% with no project opened. And I have a quadcore, and before than a singlecore, and back then it was 50%. Is this really supposed to be happening?

No, definitely not. Sounds like a problem with your OS and the way it handles your processor.

It is not happening in other programs like Photoshop 7.0 or cs2, firefox, virtual dub, particle illusion. All three version of aftereffects 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0 are making my CPU speed up if I forgot to mention that in the last message.
It is quite annoying, because the fan speeds up as well, and is it not very silent – if I should wake a sleeping elephant, I would consider using it.Do you know, what I can do to solve the problem, or what I should search for?
