I’m working on my first hi-def show, a 3-D animation show for kids. It’s created in 720p and being up-resed to 1080i. My understanding, and I hope you’ll let me know if I’m wrong, is that the issues of color safe and interlace flicker only pertain to NTSC and not to high-def. So I’m wondering if it might be a good idea to keep the high-def master pristine and do any color corrections for legality and checking for interlace flicker in the transfer to NTSC. Does this workflow make sense?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
