Hide layer from effects?
Is it possible to hide a specific layer from an effect that is above it?
For instance if I have 4 layers:
Curves
Blur
Shape
ImageCan I have the shape layer NOT effected by the curves? If so can it only be hidden by the curves but still effected by the blur?

Assuming an adjustment layer with the effect. I think what you need to do is create 2 adjustment layers(one with curves, one with blur), and sandwich the shape layer in between them.

That won’t work, and it’s not really the question. If I do that it changes the look of the blur.
The question again is is there a way to hide a single shape layer from a single effect?

No. Adjustment layers are applied to the composite of every layer below them. You cannot exclude a specific layer from an adjustment layer.
You could, however, limit the impact of the adjustment layer with a track matte.
