Can somebody show me how to hide faces in final cut pro 5,0 ? I don -

To hide a face either use Joe’s Filters or copy your clip, put it over itself and blur it, use a soft edge matte to crop in on the face. In either case you may have to track the effect if the person moves.
To zoom on text, use Title 3D and keyframe the scale.

Hi,
You could use the super automated Witness Protection filter if you have the Boris Continuum plug-ins. Or do it the good old fashioned way – duplicate your video clip to a layer directly above, then apply the garbage matte and gaussian blur filters to that top layer. Keyframe the garbage matte filter to follow your interviewee.
The text one also needs keyframes. Use the Title 3D and animate the Z-position. This will look like the text is coming towards you. Do not be tempted to use the scale in the motion tab – this will not look good.
