hidden folder outside vegas pro 10
thanks for the last answer to my post. i have found where the folder sends prerendered video from sony vegas pro10. how ever when i try to find the files outside vegas it’s not in the location. it’s like its being saved on the hard drive in an invisible folder. my computer is running ultra slow since i started prerendering. and things have gone south. i can operate the software but it takes for ever for what ever effects or multiple video track editing. i’m just trying to speed up the process of instant viewing after i have used an effect or added video.

There’s an option found in Options – Preferences – General labeled Save active prerenders on project close.
If this option is not checked, your prerenders will not show up as they won’t be saved.“how ever when i try to find the files outside vegas it’s not in the location. it’s like its being saved on the hard drive in an invisible folder”
Is your computer set to “show all files” when you do a search?

Is the Prerender folder set to the default location?
This is never a good idea as it can load up your drive C and cause slowdowns like you’re experiencing.
I have a 3 drive system and created a Temp folder on drive E specifically for prerenders.“it takes for ever for what ever effects or multiple video track editing”
What kind of footage are you editing?
What’s your processor?
How much RAM and how many hard drives do you have?
