    Hi. I’ve been re-watching some Harry Potter movies, and I saw some effects where someone shoots spells at the other persons and he/she sort of flys away. I knew at first it was a rope or something pulling them away, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to do it in a different method in After Effects. Thanks! 🙂

    You could try to shoot chroma and then animate in AE, but that would never give you the realistic feeling a live action stunt has. And then you would have to light match, composite and so on. Best bet is to do the rope pull and then remove the rope- a lot easier and much better looking.
