    All I have been able to find is this:
    This picture was taken with a 70,000 x 30,000 pixel camera (2100 Mega Pixels.) These cameras are not sold to the public and are being installed in strategic locations.

    It is pretty cool, but I’m guessing that it is actually many pictures stitched together because I noticed a few areas where the stitching wasn’t quite perfect. Something I wouldn’t expect to see if it was a single image.

    Either way it would be interesting to read about how they did the shot. Is it detailed anywhere? I didn’t look.

    Hi David,

    You may be right. I haven’t found much info on the 2100MP camera but there are others who are stitching/using multiple cameras. There is more info (and pictures) on the Gigapixel.com website.
    A friend pointed out that this is why she wears make-up to the grocery store…
