  Hi Everybody! Problems with importing from sony vx 1000 PAL camera

  Hi everybody, I am new here and have some problems with my new, apple powerbook and the new final cut pro 5.0. I have got the old sony vx 1000 camera PAL version and can`t import any videodata, also if i preview there are framedrops, and final cut tells me that audio is not synchronized and sometimed the whole program just stops importing. the camera is also not recognized properly by final cut or Tiger. Only with imovyHD it works. I realized that the camera is not listed on the final cut techspecs list, only the NTSC Version. Do I have to change the preferences again? Do I need updates or is tiger and final cut pro simply not working with the PAL sony?
  Well I guess I have a problem here, anybody who can help?
